SOKREE was born out of legacy, passion, and a deep love for the timeless art of jewellery.
Growing up in Jaipur, I was surrounded by the sparkle of gemstones and the rhythm of craftsmanship. My father’s work took me to markets and workshops across India, where I discovered not just the beauty of stones but also the stories they carried. The more I learned, the more I felt at home, and I knew this was where I belonged.
The name SOKREE comes from the two of us, Sonal and Krishn. It is a small way to honour the partnership that makes this work possible. The name holds our creativity, our trust, and our shared belief that jewellery can be both beautiful and meaningful.
Over time, I noticed a gap in the jewellery world. Gold prices kept rising, yet most fashion jewellery still looked traditional or mass produced. I wanted to create something different, where artistry meets accessibility and where women could express themselves through pieces that were beautiful, lightweight, and full of soul.
Starting out was not easy. I spent countless days in the old city of Jaipur, walking through narrow lanes, meeting artisans, and finding karigars who could understand my vision. I wanted to create only a few pieces at a time, each one unique. Those early challenges taught me patience, persistence, and the value of true craftsmanship. Later, working in a jewellery manufacturing unit for almost a decade gave me a complete understanding of how to bring art and technique together.
Today, SOKREE reflects that journey, blending artistry, experience, and emotion. Each design is personally created by me, from the first sketch to the final enamel work and stone selection. I love working with brass because it is versatile and allows endless creativity while remaining light and wearable.
My inspiration comes from culture and nature, from the grace of a peacock to the delicate bloom of a flower. Every piece carries a feeling of joy, love, and confidence. That is what I want women to feel when they wear SOKREE.
All pieces are made locally and ethically in Jaipur, in very limited quantities. Nothing here is mass produced. Every design tells its own story, created to bring out the best in you.
